Event Recap, Shannon + Phil at King Plow Arts Center, Atlanta, GA

11091244_10205107888069133_791125173022487951_nIt started with a beautiful ceremony at one of our favorite venues, King Plow in Atlanta’s west side.

Seating of Parents/Grandparents (song) Vitamin String Quartet – Hallelujah
Bridesmaids’ Entrance (song) Vitamin String Quartet – Canon in D
Bride Entrance (song) Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra & David Zinman- Bridal March
Bride/Groom Exit (song) Bruno Mars – Marry You

The ceremony also included 2 vocalists, who sang beautifully to Ed Sheerans’, Thinking Out Loud.  They said “I do” and then we cranked up the party!  Everything went off without a hitch because Molly McKinley Designs‘s attention to detail and passion to see their couples be happy.  Well, the couple did get “hitched” 🙂

After the cocktail hour in the gallery, guests were invited back into the same space where they witnessed the ceremony.  But while they were at the cocktail hour, the space was transformed into an incredible landscape.  Amber Up Lights were provided by Amp’d.

The bridal party fired up the crowd as the were introduced to Uptown Funk by Mark Ronson ft. Bruno Mars.  The couple was greeted with a roaring applause as guests welcomed the couple into the reception.   They made their way to the dance floor and had their first dance.

First Dance Song Thompson Square – Are Gonna Kiss me or not?

Then, her father came out to dance with her.

Father/Daughter Dance Song The Beatles – All You Need is Love

This was cued up on the original vinyl as her dad was a huge Beatles fan.

Mother/Son Dance Song Ben E. King – Stand by me

After an amazing dinner provided by Bold American Catering, several close friends and family toasted to the happy couple, they cut the cake and then a party ensued.  DJ Mike, mashed up their favorite hits and the dance floor was packed the entire evening.

A highlight of the reception was dedicating “We are Family” to both families while remixing a newer, fresher beat into the original version in real time.  After all, we are the official home of Remix’d Weddings!

They dance their butts off and danced one more time to: AC/DC – Shook me all Night Long

Last Saturday was not just a blast but it was really unique and we are grateful to have been a part of it!  It was just fantastic to be a part of such a great moment in their lives and to create their unforgettable soundtrack.  We look forward to amazing dance floor photos from Once Like a Spark to add to this blog soon!
