Hailing from Miami, FL (hence the nickname), DJ Miami — a.k.a. Damon Yates — has been performing publicly and privately since 1999. As an accomplished DJ and emcee, Damon focuses on creating energetic and seamless mixes that keep the party jumping. He even placed 2nd in the Atlanta regional 2013 smirnoff master of the mix competition. In addition to impeccable turntable skills, Damon also brings to the table the ear of a producer and musician having previously worked with artists such as Brian Michael Cox, Rick Ross, Pitbull, and Flo Rida.
Joining the AMP'D Entertainment family, Damon has now raised the bar and brought a whole new dynamic to our team. Being bi-lingual, he is undoubtedly the perfect choice to DJ and MC any event with a little latin flavor. Expect to see some big things coming soon from this master of the mix!
